By July 1, 2027, requiresthe Department of theAttorneyGeneraltodevelop aHumanTraffickingAwarenessTrainingProgramtoeducateand train workers in the transient accommodations sector.Requires transient accommodations employersand transient accommodations third-party contractorstoperiodically providethehuman trafficking awareness training tocertainemployees and contract workersand keep records of the training.By January 1, 2028, requirestransient accommodations employersand transient accommodations third-party contractorsto post signage regarding human trafficking awareness.By October 1, 2027, requirestransient accommodations employersand transient accommodations third-party contractorsto develop and implementa human trafficking prevention policy thatincludesprocedures for the reporting of suspected human trafficking. Establishes penalties.Requires theDepartment of Law Enforcement to adopt rules.(SD1)
