    Bio

    Les Ihara Jr. is a veteran legislator who previously served in the House of Representatives (from 1987 to 1994) and has been in the Senate since 1995. He represents Pālolo, St. Louis Heights, Maunalani Heights, Ala Wai, Kaimukī, Kapahulu, Mō‘ili‘ili and McCully.

    Ihara is Majority Policy Leader and has made accountability, transparency and reform a priority. He has been on the Kettering Foundation Board of Directors since 2010, is part of the Ala Wai Watershed Community Network and won the Shining Light Award, Hawai‘i Alliance for Retired Americans in 2008.
