Lynn DeCoite is a third-generation homestead farmer. She and her husband own L&R Farm Enterprises Inc., known for the cultivation of the famous Molokaʻi purple sweet potato.
Born in Honolulu and raised on Molokaʻi, she is focused on agriculture and environmental stewardship and currently chairs the Economic Development and Tourism Committee. Before serving in elected office, DeCoite was on the Hawaiʻi State Board of Agriculture and was a volunteer for Lokahi Pacific, Hikiola Cooperative and the Molokaʻi Homestead Farmers Alliance, where she was president.
Her district stretches across four islands and includes Hāna, East and Upcountry Maui, Moloka‘i, Lāna‘i and Kaho‘olawe.
