Sharon Moriwaki represents Waikīkī, Ala Moana, Kaka‘ako, and McCully. Born and raised in the Sheridan area and on St. Louis Heights, she has a Ph.D from the University of Southern California and a law degree from Loyola University. Moriwaki is vice chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee.
Moriwaki moved to Kaka‘ako 10 years ago and is vice president of the One Waterfront Towers condominium board. She previously served as Gov. John Waihe‘e’s labor department deputy director and director of human resources. Moriwaki was also the Hawaiʻi Court System administrative director and a University of Hawaiʻi assistant vice president.
