and transmitting a proposed House Bill number 2272, House draft one, Senate draft one, conference draft one to fund the award. May this matter be received and filed.

Thank you, madam speaker. It is my pleasure to welcome a special group to the gallery today as we celebrate tourism day at the Capitol 2026. This day is a vital opportunity to recognize the industry that serves as a backbone of our economy and the heartbeat of our communities.

This year's festivities were led by the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, and we would like to extend a special mahalo to the Hawaii Hotel Alliance and the American Hotel Logic Association for their leadership in organizing today's activities

and for their unwavering advocacy for our hospitality industry. Joining us in the gallery is a contingency from our tourism day group and it includes, when I say your name please stand and be recognized, Jeff Wagner, Jerry Gibson, Yvette Estrada, Sean D, Milton Laffitaga,

It was so beautiful to watch and truly amazing to see the level of talent and dedication last night. I also wanted to recognize and congratulate all the contestants as well. Mahalo and congratulations.
