Elected to the House in 2006, Della Au Belatti is a graduate of Maryknoll School, Princeton University and the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa. A practicing attorney and former school teacher, she has been House Majority Leader and has chaired the House Health Committee and Public Safety Committee. She’s been a strong supporter of women’s health care issues, medical aid in dying and strengthening mental and behavioral health care services.
A member of the Women’s Legislative Caucus, Belatti previously served as a commissioner with the Hawai‘i State Campaign Spending Commission and with the Hawaii Access to Justice Commission. She was a law clerk for Hawai‘i Supreme Court Justice Simeon R. Acoba Jr. Belatti represents Makiki, Tantalus, Papakōlea, McCully, Pāwa‘a and Mānoa.
