    Bio

    Tyson Miyake is House Majority Whip and vice chair of the Housing Committee. He has been a legislator since 2023 when he was appointed by Gov. Josh Green to a seat in the House. Until then, he had been chief of staff for Maui Mayor Mike Victorino for about three years.

    Miyake, who represents Waiehu, Paukukalo, Wailuku, Wailuku Heights, Waikapu and Hyashi Village, previously was COO of Miyake Concrete Accessories Inc. He has been a director on the American Cancer Society Hawaii Pacific board and a mentor to the Maui High School Academy of Hospitality and Tourism. He was previously on the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America.
