This is for Kayla Crivello being appointed to the burial council, better known as law. The quality of youthful interest and knowledge for the burial councils is unprecedented. The my conversation with her is she's extremely knowledgeable.

She's been working with burial council for five years. She's lineal descent of the area, Big Island, down in the Kona area.

And without question, she brings the right attitude, the Kuleana, the respect, and the understanding of what we need to do. I ask my colleagues to support her. Thank you, Mr. President.

Mr. President, colleagues, staff, and guests, as your AEN Chair, I wanted to remind you that today is Earth Day. And in case you missed it on the CNN news this morning, the American Lung Association recently released a report that the cleanest US cities of

the of the cleanest US cities for year round particle pollution. And they listed the top 25. And number three is Kahului Wailuku. And number four is Urban Honolulu.

So here in Hawaii, we live by Malama Aina taking care of the land. It's not just something we recognize today. It's something that we should try to live every day. And that means taking care of our ocean, our forest, our farms, and each other. It's all connected.

Us. That's something our kupuna understood and it still holds true today. So happy Earth Day. Maybe take a little extra time today to get outside, hug a tree, embrace the ocean, kiss the aina, and enjoy this place that we are lucky to call home. Mahalo.
