Thank you, Madam Speaker. Your committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs is requesting a waiver of the 48 hour advance notice requirement for the purpose of conducting a public hearing with decision making to follow on Senate Concurrent Resolution 89,

Senate draft 1, requesting the Hawaii correctional system oversight commission to establish an advisory committee to develop recommendations on the implementation of alternative models for rehabilitation and restorative justice on Oahu.

The hearing would be public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 3PM in Room 430.

Thank you, Madam Speaker. If I may, I'd like to give a final report on our dresser success program, clothing collection on behalf of the YWCA. We knew from the very start that it would be very difficult to surpass last year's record setting amount of 90 total bags that were

donated to the YWCA. I'm happy to report that we did indeed set a new record. We collected 100 bags of women women's clothes and accessories for donation to the YWCA. So on behalf of the YWCA, thank you everyone for your generous donations.
