President, are there any announcements today. Senator Gabbard.

  • Mike Gabbard

    Legislator

Mr. President, I rise on a point of personal privilege. Please proceed. Mr. President, colleagues, staff and guests, if you'll recall, this past Friday, January 24th, we were in recess and we missed two very important celebrations.

  • Mike Gabbard

    Legislator

Second in importance, it was actually Belly Laugh Day, which was created in 2005 by a professional yoga teacher who came up with the idea to celebrate laughter. She believed that we celebrated many things in life, such as love and gratitude, but we often neglect the importance of laughter. And thus, Belly Laugh Day was born on January 24.

  • Mike Gabbard

    Legislator

Of course, you don't have to wait till next January 24 to have a good belly laugh. I had one personally this morning when my staff showed me my weekly schedule of all the bills I'll be hearing in Aen Very hearty laugh Belly laugh I had.

  • Mike Gabbard

    Legislator

But the most important celebration some of us missed was the 62nd birthday of our beloved JDC Chair from District 13, seated to my left. I know the Senate rules. I'm not allowed to mention his name, but there he is. So, belated birthday. Aloha to you, and we hope you enjoyed your day and your toffee. Aloha.
