David Alcos III was born and raised in ‘Ewa Beach and is an alumni of ‘Ewa Elementary, Ilima Intermediate and James Campbell High School. He represents ‘Ewa Beach, Ocean Pointe and Barbers Point and is the assistant House Minority Leader.
Alcos has worked as a community organizer and advocate for affordable housing, environmental protection and social justice. He lists protecting the environment and sustainability as top issues, he’s advocated for stronger protections for Hawaii’s natural resources and has supported measures to reduce Hawaii’s dependence on fossil fuels. Alcos has been involved with a New Hope church for more than 30 years, and has his own general contracting company, Design Works HI.
