    Bio

    Nicole Lowen chairs the House Energy and Environmental Protection Committee and co-chairs of the House Special Committee on Red Hill. She represents Kailua-Kona, Honokōhau, Kalaoa, Pu‘uanahulu, Puakō, and Waikoloa.

    Lowen is the founder of the Hawaiʻi Environmental Legislative Caucus, a member of the Hawaiʻi Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Commission, the Hawaiʻi Invasive Species Council and the Sea Grant Advisory Council. She attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa for graduate school.
