Lisa Marten represents Waimānalo, Keolu Hills and Lanikai. She is a graduate of Kailua Intermediate and Kalāheo High School and Pitzer College, Harvard University where she received a master’s in public policy and Columbia University with a doctorate in public health.
She ran a child nutrition program in Guatemala, a youth sexuality education program in Singapore and worked on HIV prevention in South East Asia. Chair of the Human Services and Homelessness Committee, Marten’s priorities in the Legislature are community environmental issues and public health. She has served on the Kailua Neighborhood Board and Lanikai Association, conducted research at the UH Med School and founded a nonprofit focused on climate change education and community forestry.
