    Bio

    Sue Keohokapu-Lee Loy was raised in Hilo, where she graduated from Waiākea High School before going on to Hawai‘i Community College and the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo.

    She was on the Hawaiʻi County Council for eight years before being elected to the House in 2024. She is vice chair of the Health Committee. She cites her experience with land use development, environmental permits and long-range community planning.
