    Bio

    Lisa Kitagawa is a fourth-generation Japanese American who was born and raised in Kāneʻohe. She represents Kāne‘ohe, ‘Āhuimanu, Kahalu‘u, Waiāhole and Ka‘a‘awa.

    Kitagawa attended Benjamin Parker Elementary School, King Intermediate School and Castle High School. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa, where she graduated with distinction with a bachelor’s degree in family resources, a minor in speech and a master’s in higher education administration.
