Thank you, mister president. We'd like to mahalo to Aliyah Gabriel for today's moment of contemplation. And Aliyah started as my session hire legislative assistant and has since transitioned to one of my personal my permanent staff who is being coached to being my committee clerk. She was born and raised on Oahu and is an alumni of Roosevelt High School, furthered her education at the University of Hawaii Hilo, earning a bachelor's degree in Hawaiian geography with a minor in Hawaiian language.

A dedicated entrepreneur and business owner, she manages her family's long standing business, Koa cards, which is preparing for its fifth year at the Merrimanoke Festival in Hilo.

When she is in coordinating weekend events or dancing hula, Aaliyah enjoys reading and contributing to her work at the legislature. She's grateful for experience thus far and look and looks forward to the opportunities ahead. And I'd like to, introduce, my office manager, Tammy, as you all know, Tammy Kotani, who has been with me since 2020 after retiring from Hawaiian airlines. And of course, Mela Ching, who has been working in my office as a session hire legislative assistant since 2018, a former Hanukkah big island boy.
