Good afternoon. I'm all for joining today's AEN hearing. It's Monday, April 6, and we're convening Room 224. And video conferencing, which includes the audio and video of remote participants, is being streamed live on YouTube.

In the unlikely event that this hearing's cut short, the committee will reconvene to discuss any outstanding business on Wednesday, April 8 at 3PM.

And then there'll be a two minute time out today for all testifiers. We have one, actually S2, SCR 40 and SR 30 resolutions on the agenda, urging the County of Hawaii and City County Of Honolulu to adopt ordinances banning the sale, rental, and distribution of disposable body boards.

Okay. So we'll go right into decision making. So the Chair's recommendation would be to pass SCR 40 and SR 30 as is. It's clear that polystyrene, AKA Styrofoam body boards, when broken apart, pollute our reefs, shorelines, and marine ecosystems.

Maui and Kauai Counties have already passed similar bans, so it's time for Honolulu and Hawaii Island counties to join them in protecting our and oceans.
